A fabulous circular. With what appears as a brutally steep start, we will deploy the full ethos of Team Tortoise here. A pace for all, with rests as needed and no one made to feel like they are being left behind. We have loads of time for this walk so no rush at all here.
When we have rested on Hartsop Dodd the way ahead is much more gentle. From Stony Cove Pike (Caudale Moor) the decent into Threshthwaite Mouth involves a short section of scrambling where you will likely need to use your hands going down. I will be there to guide you and chose the best route down making sure you feel comfortable. Then its up again to the impressive beacon on Thornthwaite Crag then nearly downhill all the way to the final summit of our day Gray Crag.
