Classic round of the Lake District

Level 3 * you must have attended a guided walk with Team Tortoise prior to booking onto this event.

There will be a maximum of 4 places on this walk.

12km, 900m height gain. Includes Grade 1 scrambling and exposed sections where you will need to use your hands.

A small group size ensures that we balance fun and safety today, traversing the ridges surrounding Red Tarn requires a little more concentration than an average Lake District walk but we will progress gradually with time to take in our surroundings and build confidence and skills before we move on. It’s no secret that Helvellyn is one of my favourite Lakeland mountains and with my approach, I hope you will love it too.

Parking (pay and display) and toilets at start.

£49 due to smaller group size.

This walk is highly weather dependent and an alternative will be undertaken if conditions are unsuitable.
