Scafell Pike via the Corridor Route from Seathwaite

The Big One!

Level 2, Previous walking experience required. Long walk

13.5km, 1000m ascent.

A less popular route up one of the Lake District’s most popular mountains. I chose the corridor route for several reasons; for most it is more accessible in terms of travel, it is quieter, though don;t expect quiet!, and for me it is a much more scenic and interesting route.

We will wind out way up to Styhead Tarn and then pick up the corridor route which has a rocky step where I will be there to offer guidance and support if you need it, Then onwards to the summit. The return journey has options and I will select the most appropriate for our group on the day. This route has many iconic photographic opportunities and we will pass many of the other Lakeland giants which may be on your list!
