Team Tortoise Booking Process, Terms and Conditions

A) BOOKING AND FEES

·       Bookings for walks require receipt of a completed booking form and full payment for the walk. Booking forms should be filled in online (if you are unable to do so, please contact us by email teamtortoisewalks@gmail.com )

·       Once you have submitted your booking form you will receive an email response with details of our bank account, payment is requested by bank transfer. This is a manual process and may take a few days if I am out in the hills.

·       If no payment is received within 7 days of receipt of a booking form, we will delete your form.

·       All walks must be paid for in advance of the walk.

·       Once a booking form and payment are received you will receive confirmation of your booking and joining instructions for your walk, this again is a manual process and may take a couple of days if I am out in the hills, do not panic if you do not get an instant response.

B) CANCELLATION BY CLIENT

·       All cancellations must be by e-mail to teamtortoisewalks@gmail.com

·       Bookings on group walks, cancelled more than 4 weeks before the event will receive a full refund less an admin fee of £9 per person.

·       Bookings on bespoke walks, cancelled more that 4 weeks before the event will receive a full refund less an admin fee of 25% of the total booking.

·       No refund will be made for reduced numbers attending bespoke walks.

·       Bookings cancelled less than 4 weeks before the event will not be eligible for a refund.

·       Bookings are transferable to another person, but the new attendee must complete a booking form, and the transfer must be requested by email.

·       Transferred bookings are non-refundable.

·       Bookings cancelled by the client are not transferable to later dates.

 

C) CANCELLATION OR ALTERATION BY TEAM TORTOISE

·       Every attempt will be made to run the advertised event, but decisions on this will be made by the walk leader up to and including the day of the event and are final.

·       If weather conditions or other circumstances prevent the original event running an alternative option (such as a lower-level walk) will take place.

·       If the weather conditions or other circumstances are such that no safe event can run on that day, a full refund or a transfer to a later date will be offered.

·       Each event requires minimum numbers to run, if these numbers are not met five days before the event the walk will be cancelled. You will be notified by email if this is the case.

·       If your walk is cancelled due to low numbers, you will be offered a full refund or a transfer to a later date.

·       Team Tortoise accepts no responsibility for additional costs incurred as a result of a cancellation, such as for transport and accommodation.

E) OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION

  • Under 18’s may attend some group walks, if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, please ask if the walk will be suitable for young people.

  • Under 18’s may attend bespoke walks if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

  • Dogs may attend walks, but this must be advised on booking and they must be on a lead at all times no matter the level of training and obedience. The owner is responsible for clearing up after their dog and any incident involving the dog. This condition may be removed if issues arise.
