The Old Man of Coniston, Coniston Old Man, or just Old Man; whichever you chose he won’t mind. With its rich mining heritage is a fantastic area to explore for those who love a bit of history, and those who can purely marvel at the bits and pieces we will see along the way.

We will take our time to explore on route, have a poke about, take some pictures, visualise how this place may have looked in the past. Take time out at the tarns we pass on the way, Low Water and Goat’sWater and marvel at the crags above, maybe spotting the odd climber.
