Impressive Fairfield
The full Fairfield horseshoe can seem like an imposing challenge that you might not feel ready for (if you do please contact me and I wlil happily guide a full horsehoe).
This shorter “Half -shoe” version covers about 13.5km and 890m of ascent
This is a level 2 walk and you should have done some but not necessarily mountain walking before.
Our plan will be to take in Heron Pike, Great Rigg, Fairfield and Stone Arthur. We can add Nab Scar too if the group are keen. This is one of the greatest ridges in the Lake Disctrict, offering stunning views but with a comfortingly wide path so no scary drops. Expect some steep and rocky sections where I will be there to support and encourage you. This is a route with many options so we can discuss and amend the route to make a great day for everyone.
