The Big One!

Level 2, Previous walking experience required., not necessarily on mountains.

Minimum 10km, 800m ascent.

A Lake District Classic, it’s the one everyone wants - England’s biggest Mountain.

Today’s walk has a special twist - between 10am and 12.15pm we will experience a partial solar eclipse. Aound 30-40% of the sun’s light will be blocked out at this time. We will make an early start to get us as high up the mountain as we can before this begins. Taking the popular route from Wasdale but instead of rushing to the summit, we will head gentle up, taking in all that this giant and it’s neighbours has to offer on the way. All being well we will add on Lingmell on our way down.
